Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of IceSume (icesume.com), operated by Icepick LTD(“we”, “our”, “us”). By creating an account or using IceSume you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Your Account

You must be 16 years or older to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@icesume.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may only create one account per person. Accounts are non-transferable.

2. Plans and Payments

Free plan

Free accounts are subject to usage limits: 1 resume, 5 cover letters, 3 downloads, and 10 AI generations per day. These limits may change as the product evolves; we will provide advance notice of any reduction to existing Free plan limits.

Pro plan (subscription)

Pro is billed monthly at the price shown on the Pricing page. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; you retain Pro access until the end of the current billing period.

Lifetime plan

The Lifetime plan is a one-time payment that grants permanent Pro access for your personal account. It is non-transferable and non-refundable after the money-back guarantee window.

Money-back guarantee

If you are not satisfied with IceSume Pro, contact us within 7 days of your first payment for a full refund — no questions asked. This applies to the first billing period of a new subscription or the Lifetime plan purchase. The guarantee does not apply to renewals.

Payment processing

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. We do not store your card details. All prices are in USD. Applicable taxes and VAT are calculated at checkout by Lemon Squeezy.

3. Referral Programme

Each account receives a unique referral link. When a person signs up using your link and verifies their email, they count as a referral. Referral rewards (free Pro time) are granted when paid conversion thresholds are reached (2, 5, or 10 paid referrals). Rewards are applied as an extension to your Pro access period, not as a cash payment.

We reserve the right to void referral rewards if we determine they were obtained through fraudulent means (e.g., self-referral, fake accounts, incentivising signups with prohibited methods).

4. Intellectual Property

Your content

You own the content you create on IceSume — your resumes, cover letters, career data, and any other content you input. By using IceSume you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your content.

AI-generated content

Content generated by the AI features (bullet points, summaries, cover letters, career plans) is provided for your use. We make no warranty that AI-generated content is original or free from third-party rights. You are responsible for reviewing and editing AI output before use.

Our platform

The IceSume platform, including its code, design, templates, and branding, is owned by Icepick LTD and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without our written permission.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use IceSume to generate false or misleading resume content intended to deceive employers
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the platform
• Use automated tools to create accounts, generate AI content at scale, or abuse the Free plan limits
• Use the platform in any way that violates applicable law or regulation
• Transmit spam, viruses, or any malicious code

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

6. Shared Resume Links

When you enable a public shareable link for a resume or cover letter, that document becomes accessible to anyone with the URL. You are responsible for the content of publicly shared documents. Disable the link at any time from the builder settings to make the document private again.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

IceSume is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. Career outcomes (job interviews, offers, salary increases) depend on many factors beyond our control — we make no guarantee of results.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Icepick LTD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of IceSume, including but not limited to loss of data, lost opportunities, or reliance on AI-generated content.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $50 if you have not paid anything.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed within 30 days. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms.

If we terminate your account for a reason other than a breach of these Terms, we will provide a pro-rata refund of any prepaid Pro subscription time remaining.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will email registered users at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of IceSume after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you may close your account before the effective date.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also have rights under the laws of your home country that cannot be waived by this clause.
